There were a few folks at Sardis today that just were not considerate of others. The first ones were the ones that had to go full speed through all the boats that were trolling around Lespedeza point this morning. The lake was flat and they could have easily gone towards the middle of the lake and had clear passage.

Then there was a guy in a tiller steer boat and was using that to troll with. He had a white bucket he was pulling to keep the speed down. First of all he was pulling 4 rods. I was going straight for a good period of time doing 1.5. He must have been doing about 2.0 and he comes up from my 4 oclock and is determined to go in front of my path and cuts me off to where I had to make a hard left and set my boat on a parallel path to his. He then passes me and proceeds to cut me off again. Hey DA next time go behind a boat that is trolling and fish 3 rods like you are suppose to.

Other than that the fishing was great. I did best with Hot Pink cranks. It was 2 to 1 with the black.

When the "warm weather fishermen" come out in the spring, that's when my boat goes into storage. I don't need the aggravation. See ya around Thanksgiving!

Don't think that Mississippian's hold the patent on non-courteous behavior...

Two weeks ago, here in north central Missouri, while getting my gear stored in my floattube at Bennitt Lake, a group of fishermen that were fishing from the shore were leaving the parking lot when they proceeded to somehow plow into someone's boat trailer resulting in one totally trashed trailer and the front end cap of the car wedged into the trailer. I had also watched the guys launch their boat off that trailer and therefore knew which boat belonged to the mangled trailer. These morons notice that I'm standing like 50 ft. away and decide to make their getaway rather quickly. When I go over to inspect the carnage I discover that the vehicle's license tag is affixed to the front bumper that is now affixed to someone's boat trailer.

I removed the tag and placed it in my floattube and waited on the bassboat to come by me. After flagging them down and explaining what I witnessed I then presented them with the license tag of the perpetrators. Just as they were digesting this, here comes the car missing it's front end(I guess they finally realized their license tag was left at the scene of the crime...) and the bassboat sped off to 'meet them'...

A rather ugly scene ensued that then resulted in 4 sheriff patrol vehicles arriving with lights/siren's blaring...

All it takes is common courtesy towards one another...

I have been jig fishing here before in a spot all morning and have folks troll pulling cranks almost run over me. I don't yeild but just steer towards them after the first pass . Most get the message.

Water patrol was out in force on the lower lake today. Had you know that you could have made one phone call and fixed that problem. They were sure handing out the citations.
