3 poles 5 poles This is just dumb to me. 15 fish is 15 fish. Make it the same for every where. You wanna do something to save fish , enact restrictions during the spawn. Everywhere.

I have all but quit fishing any COE lakes so I really have no dog in the fight. But out of curiosity do any of you on here understand why each lakes seems to have a different reg regarding pole limits, size limits, possession limits, etc. I use to fish Sardis Enid and butla often but for the last year I have made less than a dozen trips down combined. Just seems like a lot of political bs to me. Maybe that's what they are after, keeping the numbers down on these lakes. If that's the case then its working.

G, your sticky site has wrong Reg. MDWFP-Fishing Regulations only has F17-3424, last year's Reg., Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, & Parks has F18-3424, the latest Reg. for 2013, taking effect March 21, 2013. Don't ask me why you can go to different sites at MDWFP and get different info!

All is well. MDWFP had wrong Reg. shown at two places on their website. I called them this morning and latest F18-3424 Reg. will now come up anywhere folks look on the website.

Four lakes within how many miles of each other and three different sets of rules. Awesome.

Bass fisherman have been doing it for years and then you throw in tourney rules during a tourney and its gets fun. Key is to just know what the regs are where you are fishing, if folks keep hollaring about them all being different then they will fix it and we wont like the outcome of that.

the thing about setting limits/ect , there is one factor very crutial to the equation . "fishing pressure " . no way to predict how people will react to change . used to wait an hour to put in at choctaw (grenada, if you got there after daylight ) at times now you will be only one of a few at daylight . Some say it's because of the road conditions but I also remember seeing 20-30 trucks back boats directly into turkey creek . ahh the good days !

The new regs, no they don't. SARDIS RESERVOIR. you can use all the poles you want on the lower with no size restriction. 20 fish limit does apply. One exception is inside the riprap. One pole only. That has always been.
