Just went back and re-read the notice of intent word for word. No date is mentioned for implementation. However; MDWFP specified March 16, 2013 at the public meeting held at the Fish Hatchery on Jan 31 of this year. Check with Yikkes and ATM. They both reported on this meeting. The public could voice their opinions to the MDWFP headquarters, in writing by February 15, 2013.
Yikees is more schooled on this than I. I think MDWFP took a notice of intent to the commission on January 16. There is then a 30 day comment period. Then a vote on February 16th. Then 30 days until it becomes effective, or March 16th.
Or something like this.
You guys know more about it than me, but the way I read it makes me think it goes into effect Feb 19. :confused: as if it is a done deal.

I talked to MDWFP in Jackson this morning. The Sardis Reg. is being revised to 11", 15 fish limit, 3 poles per person, and 40 fish boat limit. It will be posted in the next couple of days, With NO discussion period, and will go into effect about 30 days later.

Still havent issued a new "intent", unless done so before the 19th then the original intent will stand. Sounds like someone is blowing smoke, we will see. Not doubting you Pops, your info is spot on as far as I have seen just havent seen a new intent. Not really sure they have to issue one, may just ammend he old one.
