Time to retire my motorguide and buy a minn kota. I spider and pull cranks. Simple boat, 16x54 allweld with deep sides. What model to buy, where, shaft length, 12v vs 24v? Definitely leaning towards the terrova/ipilot. Also, is there an accessory for a quick disconnect for these? Duck hunt and will need to remove it. Appreciate your advice very much! Thank you!

Minn Kota also has a quick release mount that makes removal easy.

What Big H said and there is a quick disconnect made for it. I have one on mine and it's very quick and easy.

My opinion is make your setup is where you can change trolling motors.Besides the cost the main reason I have not gotten terrova is because you are limited. If all you fish is open water then the terrova is perfect, but if you like single piling you will want a hand control.jmo

Got terrova last yr & put it on my excell , with the float pods on back the bracket is necessary. When I unload off the trailer the prop hits the front roller/bumper and will break off. Great pin through design for locking too. Pulled the head off and ran the transducer through this morn ; not hard to do and also necessary because the terrova trans does not work well with most finders! While I was already in there I cut the shaft off another 6 inches and now am a 48 in rig. It was just high enough to hit the rodhders . 24 volt 80# I can fish 3 days hard still have 1/2 batt. Toggelers brand toggle bolts. At lowes Riv- nuts suk
