    Default Wiggle Warts

Came down here to ask cause it seems ya'll have about seen and done it all.

    Anybody pull em?

    Anybody repaint em?

Found a small mother load downt the local fishing store (Walmart), that was marked down to less than half so I bought all I could carry in both hands. They are some ugly looking things so I thought I might try to repaint.

Are you talking about crankbaits? I have painted some before...Testors model paint and a airbrush works for me.

I'll go back to the local fishing store (Walmart) and see if they have any of that stuff. Do you primer before or clear coat after?

Sly....that's mother load.....not mother-in law. You be treading on some dangerous turf right there:D:D

I pulled the beige one with the orange belly a couple of times and didn't catch anything.

Scuff them up with some real fine sand paper like they use to water sand cars with...then paint them and clearcoat them. You can get a cheap air brush at Harbor Freight. When you get your paint be sure to get some thinner as you will have to thin it down to use with the air brush. Just play around with it...practice on some tin cans or something. And the good thing is...the fish don't know and don't care if you did a real good job or not.

The problem I found with the wiggle warts were they were almost never tuned to run straight out of the box. They were also a pain to get to run straight. and if you have six rods out the back pullin cranks you dont want a crankbait that runs sideways or won't tune.

Pay no attention to Slab, he don't know dip about tuning. Matter of fact, he's so bad he has to eat balogna cause he can't even tuna fish. Get it. Tune A Fish. Dern, I'm funny.

Wiggle Warts have been a staple amongst bass boys for a long, long time. I have a few, but have never tried trolling them. They have 2 particular colors, black nose, white body and red nose, white body that look pretty dang good to me. I have 'em in the boat, but just always seem to find something else to try before I get around to 'em. Might give it a shot this summer......trouble is, if they work really well, I ain't tellin' nobody. If they stink, I'll let you know though, but honestly, if I really get to dogging them out, you'll know they're the cat's meow.

    Wannabe...

Tuna fish. I'm a funny man.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.
