That's the loop I'm in now BIgK. I've got to snap out of it soon. BTW, 2 jobs, 1 day off a week, except for every other Sun.:mad: Every time I think about cutting down on working all the time, I find something else to buy, that I won't get to enjoy.:eek:

Hey...I have got a bunch of unopened baits and lures out in the shop as well as several new reels etc. that I have not used yet and I still try to add to the pile everytime I get a chance. My wife asked me the other day when was I going to stop buying stuff....I told her when they bury me. :D

I make my own from lead and tin also. If you use Tin you don't have to worry about painting the head AND you get to use twice as much metal than lead. Meaning a 1/4 oz size Horse Head in lead weighs 1/4 of an ounce. But in TIN a 1/4 oz size only weighs 1/8 of an ounce. Plus if you want to get fancy you can electroplate the TIN and make it a super sharp GOLD color.

Thats pretty neat....did not know about pouring tin. So where do you get the tin at? I know a lot of guys get lead wheel weights from the tire shops etc.

na sat I wish it was that cheap. The tire weights arn't usually pure lead so I only use those for pouring anything over 2 ounces. I use pure lead for small stuff like the horse heads as it pours easier. I use tin only in 3/8, 1/4 and 1/8 ounce sizes. If you go smaller than that the tin doesn't like to go around the swivel that you place in the mold. For 1/16 and 1/32 oz Horse Heads I use pure lead as it pours like melted butter. I buy my tin on-line in ingots. It's like $10 a pound. I been using Rotometals. When I buy some, to cut down on shipping my fishing partner and I usually go in together and buy 10 pounds of tin which lasts us a long time.
