Well found a good deal on some bandits at my local tackle store so I decided to give them some business. Racked up really well. From my bass days I had amassed a massive amount of cranks that I plan on trying on the crappie so my natural colors were already taken care of. I did stock up on the bandits in the more vivid color patterns. They had more 200's than 300's so I have more of them but still enough to get me started. Most of my bass cranks were rapala. Does anyone pull those or know someone that does. Looking for feedback to know if I need to seek out more bandits. let me know if you see something I am missing. I am already on the hunt for some more shades of pink. Does anyone use the strike king cranks? Thanks for your time.
I pulled my first cranks last weekend for about an hour...just trying to get the feel and where to set everything up. My speed was about 2.0 to 2.4 with the big motor. Let out 55 ft. on Accudepth Diawas loaded with 10 pound test and Bandit 300's in Pink and Black.
Probably need to slow my speed, but a caught a few trash fish at this speed (white perch and channel cats). Baits started diggin the bottom at 12 feet.
Maybe one day I'll actually catch a Crappie!
lcookie, you just need to go to the lake and start pullin. You got plenty of cranks.
Got my first crankbait crappy yesterday. I caught it on a black bandit 300 with 65 ft of 10 pound in 22 fow.
Yep gotta agree....black is a good color
i always put out an awesome pink and a black, then just mix everything else up!
