Default MTCC 3 fish Wildcat Tourney Results from last night.

MTCC had 17 folks in 9 boats fish the 3 fish wildcat tourney last night at Normandy Lake. Also last night, we gained 2 more friends from right here off crappie.com in Josh and Matt. Josh aka jandscattleco, decided to go ahead and join up with the club. He put us up to a total of 49 different families in the club now. . After we all stood around and talked for an hour or so, it was time to get the boats in the water and blast off for what was sure to be a good night of fishing. Well it was just that, a good night of fishing. For some it was a good night of fishing and catching both.

Some boats elected not to weigh in but it seemed that most everybody caught some fish. Here is your winner and some the other weights and results below...

Taking first place with a 3 fish limit was Dave Odell. Dave had a 3 fish limit that went 4.37 pounds and his big fish was 1.56 pounds. So close to the club BFOTY but not quite. Congrats to you Dave Odell.

There were definately some others with honorable mentions such as Randy Clark. and Johnny Thompson. They had 3 fish limit weighing 3.84 pounds and their biggest one was 1.42 pounds. Also Mr.Goody and Mr. Tom came in with a 3 fish limit weighing 3.80 pounds and big fish at 1.41 pounds.

Next Friday night July 19th we are right back there again to Normandy at the Barton Springs ramp for a 7:00 PM blast off and a 1:00 AM weigh-in start. I wouldn't be surprised to see the biggest stringer of the year come in next week, and possibly the biggest fish of the year too. Last year, same weekend, we had a guy catch a 2.35 pounder and that still stands as the record fish caught in one of our tourneys. If you can make it, come check us out. PS Photo of Dave attached, but was not taken last night.

    Congrats Dave.

It did get cool later in the night. Thank goodness Toby had some jackets in his boat. Tshirt and shorts was not enough to stay warm.

I also had t-shirt and shorts on. Left jacket in the car. I kept warm by putting on a life jacket. It worked pretty good.

You can follow if I get my lights working again. The connections are just to corroded to make good contact. I tried to fix my bilge pump and broke the swith where the connection came in at now put a new switch and cant get it to work. May end up re wiring the whole thing but don't have time to do that before Friday. If I cant get it fixed may be begging for a ride just to fish this one. I will try to straight wire it and see if that doesn't work for now. I hate wiring. And thanks for the congrats. Oh by the way the last time I fished the spot where I caught the fish I only caught 2. And that was during the day. I didn't get to fish the spot I wanted but I guess I didn't need to. First time out at night this year and boat traffic was more then I thought it would be. Was affraid of getting run over without running lights. Also more wind then I thought there would be.

Congrats to you Dave for sure. I did fine with the shorts and t-shirt as I am well insulated....A good turn out for the party for sure and next week should be even better. I just hope that Johnny repeats history and gets us another bigun!
