Normandy 12/31

Hal and I went to Normandy Sat morning and tried our luck. With it being Sat and it being blue bird skies, it made it tough. Two spots were taken so we headed to Carroll Creek. Not a lot of luck there. The fish were tight to cover due to the strong sun light. We went up to Riley Creek next and had better luck. Caught a few in a slough and a few more in the main channel. The best one of the day was a 1.60 slab. We used Crappie Magnets, BG's and minnows. The biggest slab came on a BG crystal minnow tipped with a minnow. I love it when you think your hung but all of a sudden the drag starts talking to you. The wind did get a little higher than forcasted but it was a nice day on the water. Water temp is still around 49-50 degrees.
