The MTCC September tourney at Woods Reservoir is now in the books. We still had 6 boats there for the event even though we had some folks away on vacation and others who couldn't fish till 1pm for time restraints. Yesterdays weather was very nice for fishing as the sun didn't shine till up in the morning close to noon which kept the temps comfortable. There was some very nice looking fish brought to the weigh in as well. There was several white crappie caught today, as well as a few black/black nose. All 6 boats brought fish to the weigh-in and there was 4 boats who had the 10 fish limit. Results are as follows.
Third Place- John Wells & Randall Slayton.Hands Clapping
Second Place - Jw. Jackson & Deanie Jones. They also got big fish with 1.48 pounds Hands Clapping
First Place - Went to Toby Ivey & Tracy Farmer with a big stringer weight of 7.55 pounds.Hands Clapping
Next month our tourney is over to Normandy for some great action there as the fish are huge and the action is very good over there in the fall as we have seen before in past weigh-ins. It is still unofficial but it looks like J.W. Jackson is now in the lead for the AOTY with 2 events left this year that are AOTY points events. We may have a big fish tourney on Tims or Normandy or both in the next few weeks if there is enough interest. Several have expressed interest on having one of those. If you think you would like to try out our club, or fish with us, we would love to have you. Go to Middle Tennessee Crappie Club for details and contact information.Thumbs Up

Somebody asked what was the tactic used to catch fish saturday. Jigs, jigs, jigs, is what helped us to win this one. It was a very cloudy day saturday and we used mostly black/grey and black/with some chartruese on them. From time to time as it got sunny and when the bite slowed down some, even tipped some jigs with small minnows. Fished about 2 feet off bottom ledges, stumps, or any cover found. Here is one I caught a good many on saturday.Thumbs Up
