Remember Leonard's Losers? The SEC folks that have been around a few seasons should remember him anyway. Not sure if his show was on in other areas of the country. My version converted to fishing sorta goes something like this.
Three friendly Lincoln Co, fish following fellers, loaded up in the ford F150 pickup truck and headed out to Franklin Co dock for some fishing fun, friday night. We thought we would get in on some them after market, after dark crappie. We set sail from the dock in the large ones winner bass boat at sometime slightly after the 1 am hour. We had a mission to find one of our MTCC friendly, freight pushing friends who was off that night, and out searching for Pomoxis nigromaculatus too. Thumbs Up. He is one of our local club members who makes a pretty good crappie foolin jig. He threw me da jigs he made me, and we all spoke a few words with him and his friendly, fishing friend. He is one dem offensive linemen from Manchester that grew up as me on cornbread n taters but he shore is good at bein a secretary of da fish:o. They had fishing hole #1 all covered so we set sail for #2. We think we done missed suppertime for dem crappie, cause where ever we threw out the late night snacks, there was none in da mood for eating, and we had a boat load of live sardines in buckets. I got a text from another MTCC friendly feller who was on the water before the crappie went to bed and got there in time to offer them some sardine supper. He had to leave the water before my engine ever cooled off but he took 5 from the dark depths and gave them to one JohnW who was in da market for a mess. After that, the 3 feathered falcons from Lincoln Co decided to make a run across the lake to some different waters. At around first light saturday morning, camp was set up inside the boat as the boat owner was tired from lack of sleep and footing that trolling motor for a nights fishing in a steady 8 mph wind. After a 30 minute power nap and some "light snoring" he returned to the bow of the boat.
As it turned out, the weather had little change in it come morning, and a few fish awoke with some hunger pains in their bellies. We stayed longer than originally intended cause a few Pomoxis nigromaculatus that slept through the night hours woke up willing to eat breakfast, especially the younger generation crappie. We ended up with 18 that made the hour and 10 minute drive to Fayetteville with us and gave a sore jaw to around 100 who want to drive over next year with us.
So after a long fishing trip that went into overtime and taking home 18 crappie for John's carving knive, I would still have to say on this trip the crappie won the game. Leonard's Losers, the 3 Lincoln Co Falcons, but they sure had a good time on the water.

An amazing rendition of the nights events, for sure. We (C1 and I ) had a good time with the convicts (with stripes) that assaulted our minners and being as it was my first try at this, well worth the trip. Another night trip will be done in the future but I'm not going to have to work the next day. Good to see y'all that night too. We'll do better next time.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
leonard would be proud,as well as percy peabody.my defintion of light snoring is a little different than yours.lol.i think thats what woke up the fish.lol.had a great time on the water with good freinds.
GOD loves fishermen, the earth is 75% water
Darn coinvicts were everywhere we turned. We got tired of feeding them things and went home to the soft confines of the sleepo! Way to go Leonard and the Falcons form Lincoln county!
