I seen on Crappie.com someplace a guy talking about using cajun seafood seasoning. I was bored today, and got some crappie out, and cut up into bite size pieces, and placed them in that seasoning and threw a bunch in the skillet.I called BigOrangeSlab and he was near so he come over and helped me eat some crappie today. It was sure enough good. No reports from doing any fishing, except JohnW and I went yesterday afternoon late and basically was just checking out my depth finder. Was very cold too.No keepers but didnt fish very long at all.

Welcome to the world of flavor. Down here we season our seasonings.:D
We make our own cause usually the store bought stuff is pretty salty and usually lacks on the zippy side. Try blackening a whole fillet. Yum.

I use Tony Chachere creole seasoning a lot. Good flavor and good heat. A little dried garlic in the breading helps too.

Ok GCD. You asked for it, and you got it. Wanted some more crappie today and had to wait for 8 hrs for the race to end so I could cook some more but it was worth it.Heres your picture bud.lol
