I have 2 Briggs & Stratton, great units, however they are NOT even close to quiet!

Quiet is in the eye (ear) of the beholder. With Steve being past the big 6-0 it could roar like a freight train and he probably wouldn't hear it anyhow.
We all need to focus on pleasing Judy.:ThumbsUp
Jerry,
If we did that, Steve would be on a pedal bike generating electricity, so he can get back into that honeymoon banana colored speedo........

Doesn't put out dirty electric. I did have another brand that did. Don's right about the "dirty elec"
make sure you get one that doesn't.
My wife and I were the host campers at Healy Lake State Forest Campground For 22 years. It is a 24 site camp, no electric, flush toilets, or running water. It does have hand pump water, and new style out houses. the last 14 years there we had a Honda EU 3000 i. It was real quiet had electric start and an econo switch, that would run at idle speed until the demand increased then would adjust speed as needed. Would run every thing in the fifth wheel except the air conditioner.
I now have a Honda EU 2000i. works great, but can't run as much stuff as the 3000. The EU 3000i is a little quieter than the 2000.
I also bought a 3000 Harbor Freight inverter generator. It has same features as the hondas, comparable to the Honda 3000 for quiet. Don;t know if it will work as long as my Honda 3000 did or not yet.
I used the Honda 3000 6 months of the year. The Harbor Freight is used for longer primitive camping (2-3 week stays).
The Harbor Freight cost is around $600, The Honda 3000 around $2200, THE 2000 NEAR $1000.
Now that is good information.
buy a honda stay away from the junk from harbor freight. Yamaha is decent too.
Thanks everyone for the help.....never knew there was “ dirty “ Electricity

I have the Honda 2000 inverters and they are super quiet also we camp with people that use the 3000 Hondas , super quiet..
also know of one using a Yamaha and it is very quiet also. i would say go with Honda or Yamaha if you plan on using it for a long time , both are proven and reliable. but not cheap :yikes
