I just walked out back to the barn when a swarm of venomous mosquitos attacked. I channeled my inner Mr. Myagi and performed the "wax on, wax off" technique followed by my version of a Burmese round house, three ninja chops, and two Japanese words I learned in Okinawa.
I killed several when in the distance I swore I heard one of them playing taps on a micro bugle. Several more attended their funeral. Although they did not get clearance to buzz the tower, several of them took kamikaze dive bomb tacticts to the next level as I fought my way back to the safety of the house.
I forgot what I set out to do but it can wait
Double post.

Day 1 of season is over........
Bummer, I was hoping for a Boone & Crocket Mole.
Will see how the quick morning hunt goes......
Good thing I have a job.
I’m not trapping them fast enough to make money of the hide............
I was bored, watched them for awhile, worked on some stuff in the garage, watered my tree's, stripped lead core, and line off 2 reels.
OH, some one was talking about the fastest way to strip a reel? Well, tie one end to your mail box. Let the line lay on the ground. When a car come flying down the road, raise the tip just enough, to catch the bumper, (Make sure the bail is open) and watch it strip. When near the end, snip fast with some scissors. All done, matter of seconds. Then tie the portion on your mail box to the neighbors mail box.... :)
That was my thought anyway...........
Going to try Lake Mi this weekend for some Salmon..............., Bring that little $7.00 Berkeley stick..........We can test it..........
I've actually tied my line to a mailbox and drove the the road on several occasions. Then you simply go back to the mailbox and hand over hand the line into the trash. Prett quick actually. Today, I tie one end to my disc, then drive off with my side by side. 10 or 12 times and I have the line I need stripped off! Not bad to wind up all of them in one bundle.
I contemplated fishing tomorrow. That is until I saw the wind report for both Erie and Huron. Oh well, I'm on vacation starting Wednesday of next week. I'll see how many walleyes I can take out of Houghton lake. Or crappies... I have a few duel purpose baits that actually work great trolling over weeds for both species.
I'll bet they work on hammer handle pike, too.
