Prayer Request Looking for spots around Muinising and Glen Arbor first week of July

    Hello,

I am bringing my family up to Muinising to go camping and fishing from June 30-July 4. I will then be in Glen Arbor through the rest of that weekend. Can anyone help me out and let me know there are any good crappie lakes near either place?

    Thanks!!

I've camped in that area a few times. I've fished Au Train Lake but prefer "Power Company Basin". It has all the makings of a good crappie lake. Structure, weeds, stumps. I never targeted them there. I was walleye and pike fishing. You may also try Otter Lake, Lost Lake, Hovey Lake and Ready Lake.

Check with the local bait shop in Munising. It may also be a hardware/laundry mat/liquor store/meat market/pit stop/sandwhich shop!!!!

Ok Rich learn me now...when you say "Power Company Basin" is that the same as "Cleveland Cliffs Basin"?

Redbird, if you have a boat at your disposal when at Glenn Arbor, run the west shoreline of Lake Leelanau from Lake Leenlanau RV Park up to Fountain Point. Good Crappie along the drop/weedline, and out a bit in 18-20 you might find the walleye about that time. We found them drifting/dragging crawlers about that time a few years back.

    I think it is Don.

Redbird there are tons of lakes also just south of Munising on Federal Hwy. 13. Use to be a bait shop/convenience store in that general area.....it's been a lot of years since I was that way maybe the store doesn't exist anymore.

Not sure if it is the same or not. It is south of Au train lake. South of the town of Christmas. There is a State rustic Camp ground and Launch on it. Fished it a few different years. Very similar to Hodenpyle dam pond and Tippy Dam pond.

If you look at a standard Michigan map you will see it on there.
