    Default Gander Mountain files Bankruptcy

Sources: Gander Mountain preparing to file for bankruptcy | Duluth News Tribune

Just read this elsewhere, thought I'd share.

You know, they just built this big store in Lansing, very close to where I live but as far as I'm concerned it has been mostly a disappointment. I went in to buy some Flicker minnows in a size 11, they have none. Wide gap treble hooks?....nope. I Needed a red clip for a offshore planer board......they have none, heck they don't even have offshore boards in the store yet.

It's nice that it is close to me, and I'd rather spend time in there than going to Macy's, Penney's, etc....... but I wish they'd get a better fishing department going on in there.

Maybe there is a reason they don't.......maybe it has something to do with a bankruptcy.......

Interesting. I see from that article that BP is looking at Cabelas. Didn't know that.

Tonda and I were at the Lansing store today and it was a super disappointment. Didn't find anything we were looking for.

Yep, BP owns several of the major boat brands also, including Ranger.

I first heard rumors of this a couple years ago, I wondered then if BPS would honor my Cabelas points on my card.
Personally I hoped it wouldn't happen, I like them both......but one thing certain in life, is change.
