My parents are there today. Larry and Sandy will be there tomorrow. Not sure about who is coming on Thursday yet. I'll be in early Friday afternoon. I have to wait for Abby to get out of school at noon

At The Eyes Have It baitshop, do they sell emerald shiners or fathead minnows?

In this area, it is usually pretty hard to get emeralds. Most of them are usually fathead minnows. Fish don't seem to mind in most lakes.
Unfortunately, the owner of "The Eyes Have it" passed away early this spring. It was up in the air as to whether the baitshop would be open while we were there.
My dad took a trip over there yesterday and noticed a sign on the door that said they were working hard to get open. Said they would be open around 8am or so. They went back later and, although cars were in the lot, the doors were not open.
If need be, we will make a run in to Cadillac to Pilgrim village on the west end between lakes Cadillac and Mitchell and pickup minnows for as many people as we can get. There "used" to be another baitshop on M55 about 100 yards south of M115 (Called Schaffers) however, when talking to my dad last week, he didn't think they were open any longer.
Regardless, we will get minnows!

I am assuming you are talking about stopping at Lyman's up on Houghton lake (which your camp is located) and NOT Lyman's close to camp (where crappie camp is at)??
When you stop in, ask them if they ordered the sun gators yet? I gave them the idea and told them they would sell 100's of them if they got em! Maybe I'll get a free one someday when I return.
Don't expect much in the way of crank baits. The tournament guys wiped them out last weekend. Along with all the night crawlers!!! What we like to call "Supporting the local community"!
