I thought since I seen 5 deer yesterday morning cross in front of my blind I’d see if they would appear again this morning.......not yet.

Pop tarts eh? That sounds pretty good, I’m down to the last can of smoked oysters, sleeve of crackers and one Diet Coke

Might have to make that long 76 yard hike to the house to replenish.....how do I know it’s 76? Well things can get boring so I pass the time with the rangefinder that I bought to go out west umpteen years ago and haven’t made it yet.

It’d be a hoot if Brian would join in here at c.c

Surprisingly low amount of gun shots heard here, opening day maybe 4, today just heard a double. Usually opening day is like a war zone around here.

Think I’ll go work on my Trolling motor......sure not having any deer sitings.

Rich and Brian must still be spooning. It is day 4 in Broke back cabin.

My Yooper buddy Bruce sent me a picture of his buck he got yesterday....a little bit of “ rubbing it in” cause I haven’t made it up there hunting in a few years although I have a lifetime invite.

They got a few hanging on their buck pole already.

If I ever get a trip planned and bring some of you along, he’s the guy we’ll be staying at his place. Lots of fun, lots of stories. He and I were dive partners for Delta and Schoolcraft County Rescue Dive teams, not to mention just real good friends with a lot of history.

Oldest son Jr. and Grandson Aiden just stopped in to say they’ll be out hunting....like Aiden hasn’t already set the bar high enough lately.....he’ll probably go out and shoot a buck.

Thanksgiving is coming soon, enjoy it with family and friends, couldn’t resist adding this cartoon friend Bill McElroy drew up

No spooning here.

Resupply mission was successful last night. On the menu, hard salami and sharp cheddar sandwiches, smoked oysters with Tabasco and crackers, hot pepper rings, and Doritos. Fruit pies for breakfast.

Again, Aaron will tell us that it isn't on the official thread but it isn't our fault that she didn't create it yet.
