    Default short thornapple report

had a couple hours after work ,sooooo.
water was 59 degrees and a bit stained, found fish at the mouths of all the small channels, and a few in brush in one of the channels .
managed a dozen for dinner, mostly crappie, all females , getting close to the spawn , but they were still full of eggs and my guess would be about a week from spawning.
will not be long now, time to hit some of my favorite lakes.
    fillet em n fry em

Thanks for the info John. I have been too busy with walleye fishing to get to some of my spots. I might make a trip out on Sunday (after I walleye fish on Saturday)
