Narrow Lake Fish Report 5/8/16

Took the family out to narrow lake to do some light fishing. water temperature was 63 degrees and fairly smooth water. My step son Justin managed to catch 2 nice black crappies, the first one that he caught was 10.25'' and the second was 12.25''. Both were caught on a silver and blue stick bait in about in 5-7' of water. This was also the first fish he caught, we decided to fillet out the smaller one and get the larger one mounted.

It was so nice to see Justin very excited about todays catch, any time you can get todays youth excited and engaged in the sport of fishing is a win/win!

Well done young man!!!! I always have a small Husky Jerk tied on one rod, when crappie fishing. They have done well for me.
