Default Winter abating? Time to fish.

Been a crappy sort of winter for ice fishing near me so my brother and I spent more time researching any and all classifieds, craiglists, dealerships and shows. We were looking for a boat. Some of you might remember us at the last spring camp with our aluminum 14 ft snapper, which left us desiring more. We built up quite a list of requirements for a boat. After much debate and lonely days looking out over the water, we pulled the trigger and bought a 2009 SmokerCraft pro angler 161. I'll be able to post pictures up later this weekend when there will be more time to pull off the top and do a full maintenance run-up on her.

Thankyou sir. We had to compromise actually, i liked the big decks on the bass boats and my brother liked the deep width on the lunds

Where did you happen to buy it? I traded one in last fall at Dockside Marine in Glennie.

We bought this one from a gentleman who lives near us in Washington township Crappie 1. He was very honest and upfront about every issue.

I was in the same boat(pun intended) with my old man. He likes the deeper/wider boats and I liked the sleeker boats with deck space.

I am happy as well. We agreed that the boat should be able to handle lake st clair on an average day and possibly the big lakes, but should be able to function as a fishing platform too.

We fished Sag. Bay quite a bit with our 16' Smokercraft. You just have to choose your days. Good Luck with your new boat...
