In light of the recent developments involving a fellow CDC member, I saw where one (or several) other state forums have a fund designated to helping members in need.
Recently, we did a benefit to raise money for Camp Newaygo. I don't know about others, but it makes me happy to be able to help people and organizations. As many of you know, we have started saving funds to be utilized for our group outings, donations, prizes, and so on. I thought it was a great idea that another forum had a fund setup specifically for helping members in need.
Is anyone interested in doing something like this for MICDC?
It would not require us to do anything different, collect other monies, or anything else. Just a way to earmark some of our funds specifically for helping members in need.
We can discuss it at our fall outing.
Also.......... Please consider HOSTING the spring outing. By appointing someone in the fall it provides ample time for that person to setup everything they would like to do to make it the best event possible. As always, there are several people that are willing to help
