Default First crappie fishing of the year pics

Well after a long winter of no fishing, I have been chomping at the bit to get out on the water. Sunday was my first real opportunity to break out the fishing gear and finally go after some crappie. I had a pretty good idea of where to go, and figured it would be about time to find some specks in, or near, shallow water. Well I couldn't have planned it any better. I spent a total of 2 1/2 hours fishing and managed to land nearly 100 crappies. No real monsters but a lot of good eating size, so I took home a limit to start the season off on a good note.

It is not about the equipment you have to use,
It is about how you use the equipment you have. :D
