My kicker is tiller. Was told and read that if you fish alone most of the time, as I do, mount the kicker on the port to balance the weight. Driver on starboard, kicker on port. That being said, if you steer with the tiller handle, it is easier to do with the motor on the starboard. My 'ducers are on s-board, kicker on the port. I too steer with big motor. 5
