Though the weather was far from ideal, and only a couple crappie were caught, the Michigan Fall Crappie Camp was a great time. Special thanks to Kevin and Rich for getting this put together. It was great seeing everyone and meeting a bunch more great folks.

Glad you all had a good time. Sorry I did not make it. Wish I coulda been there, but I think if I did you all woulda blamed the weather on me! Seems to follow me around! I guess we could say "coulda been worse" eh! Coulda had snow like May 2013, you all remember this:

Slab, sorry you couldn't make it. The food and the fellowship was great. Quite a few new to me people. Fishing & weather was not the best. Thanks to Kev & Rich & Don for making it a great outing. Glad to see Jimmy, John, Eric,Kev. Had a nice time visiting with Don & Carol, was fun seeing all of you. Frank, good to see you again. Thanks Bruce & Nick from Offshore Tackle for some really nice prizes. It was an awesome time.

Nick, Renee, Ari and I had a ball there. Great food and lots of stories. I got to use the Crappie counter on Sunday with a few Crappie on Long Lake. Glad to be a part of this group and maybe we can get a few of them trolling Mini Planers.

Here are a couple pictures from the weekend. We didn't catch any crappie on Houghton, but were able to troll up a couple with jigs and cranks at Long Lake on Sunday, a few minutes to the south. The weather was cold but the food was good and the company was even better. I want to thank Rich, Kevin, and Don for doing such a great job putting this all together. We met a lot of great people and are proud to part of the group!
