    Default Crappie Camp tournament

Being that this fall's outing appears to be one of the biggest yet, Don, Kevin, and myself have worked very hard to try and come up with a variety of prizes.

Unlike past outings, this year we have planned something a bit different for the "friendly" crappie tournament to be held on Saturday September 13th. We have put together some "bigger" prizes for the winners. Keep in mind that none of these prizes were donated by any sponsor. We came out of pocket in order to get this off the ground with the hopes of continueing it from here out. At the liars club meeting on Friday night, we will discuss the details of the tournment (agreed upon by all), as well as the prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd... and so on. IF you would like to be a part of the "big" prizes, we ask for a $5.00 donation. This will help ensure that we can continue this at future outings. The money collected will be used for the purchase of future items, pavilions, and other things we might have had to come out of pocket for in the past. It is a good way to donate a little money and possibly win a cool prize.

EVERYONE will recieve a gift bag regardless if you would like to participate in the "big" prizes. The items within the gift bag have all been donated by great sponsors.

    What are the Big Prizes?

I took the liberty of building a custom MHX fishing rod. This rod comes with a lifetime warranty and is "application specific". MHX does not manufactor production fishing rods. They are available to rod builders only. The rod I built for this is a new series that I have helped them test. It is a 10' light weight, fast action rod. Stout at the butt to about the middle and then very limber at the tip. It was built specifically for dipping lilly pads, jigging structure, or pushing and pulling jigs. It has a "michigan" style steelhead handle with fly fishing guide eyes to make it lighter.

I was able to obtain a new "Mister Twister" electric fillet knife. I also hand built severl different trolling motor remote lanyards (the yellow one is reflective and floats).

Kevin has a tackle box that he personally donated.

The gift bags include: Vicous fishing line, TTI Blakemore road runners, Charlie Brewer's Sliders, Tru Turn hooks, Discount coupons for Vicous line, Stickers for Vicous and Charlie Brewer (other items not pictured that Kevin collected and will add)

Man, you guys went beyond what would be expected. I would love to win that rod, heck, I would love to win anything. Thanks to you guys for "stepping up". Count on me for $5.00, small price to pay for the chance at a prize.

Rich and Kevin have put way more effort into this event than I, and they deserve a big kudos from all for their effort.

Just got a shipment from "Arkie" last night.

Add a crankbait and bag of "Arkie" soft plastics to the gift bags.

Abby and I put them together last night on the porch.
