It was a gorgeous evening to be on the water! That was by far the best part of the trip too. I only caught four crappie with the biggest one maybe 9". They all came on my jigging pole flinging a 2" Gulp Alive black shad. They weren't tight to the lily pads in 12-14 FOW, but instead were out suspended away from the edge in 16-17 FOW, down closer to the bottom. I had to "pendulum" the 1/16 oz. chartreuse jig to get them to hit. Lost lots of tails to small gills too. I could see them everywhere. That will be a good place to take Sophi for her first fish I think. No pics this time, but if there were, they would be of the scenery, not the fish.
