I had cabin fever and I got out on a private lake with a buddy today. Fishing was slow but steady and worth it! Biggest in the photo is just a little over 9 inches. Got them back in a channel that's about 12 foot deep. We had a note on the truck when we got back that said "You DO NOT have permission to fish this lake. Go find another lake!" We called our on at the lake to make sure we were in the right place and he laughed it off and said it must have been one of his neighbors as he is out of town on business. I hate rude people that wont even talk to you or leave a number where you can reach them!

Nice catch Eric.
I grew up down there and probably know were its at
Good Catch Eric. I was unable to get out yesterday but a buddy of mine fished a new body of water that just recently had State access granted to it. He said the same thing. Fishing was steady but not "on fire". They found some really nice gills and some good crappies. Fishing was good until 6pm when the front finally moved through and shut them down. Ended up with two crappies over 14 inches!
Not bad for a new lake. Trying to put some planning together for this afternoon. Everything depends on whether in need to plan on taking my daughter with me or not. Weather channel for my area is predicting 2-4 inches of snow for tomorrow so today might be good. That is the first "predicted" snow fall for my area this year that is above an inch. We'll see

nice gills eric.those will sure fry up well.
I have only been out twice this year, managed enough for a couple of meals.
