I'll be back in my home state over the holidays if any one wants to fish. I will be chasing whitefish, steelhead, brown trout, crappies if I can figure out a lake to fish, and who knows what else. I'll be based out of Higgins Lake but I will drag my boat all over those few weeks. let me know.

Life has many choices, eternity has two...choose wisely.
Unapplied biblical truth is like unapplied paint...how many gallons do you have sittin' around? U.D.
i might be able to do some fishin around that time , i still might be deer huntin also but im always ready to fish
get in, sit down, shut up and fish
might be time to ice fish by that time, bring your gear
We'll be fishing some where some how. Either on ice or in the boat. Your about 60-70 Mi. straight West of us if your at Higgins Lake.

Unless the weather is terrible, I will fish on Thanksgiving late morning/early afternoon, right after I get in some early morning waterfowl hunting. I like to get in an early morning of waterfowl hunting on Thanksgiving day, and if the weather is decent, I will throw my crappie/bluegill gear in the kayak with me when I head out to my hunting spot, as long as the wind isn't howling or it is pourning rain. When the morning flight of waterfowl is done, or I am ready to stop hunting, I paddle down the lake to a couple of my late fall panfishing spots. Around Christmas, I will try to get in one last float down river for smallmouth then into the lake for panfish. If the lake is froze, I will just float the river. Sometimes that last kayak fishing trip just before ice up can be exceptional for both smallmouth and panfish. Nothing like heading home in the kayak, late season, with a couple waterfowl and a dozen or two panfish.
It is not about the equipment you have to use,
It is about how you use the equipment you have. :D
I still don't have any firm plans but we'll see what happens. Too much to do, too little time!
