Well you look at a neglected boat the same way I do, opportunity. You have a solid boat now. Good job.
Not counting your electronics, trolling motor, motor etc would you mind say how much you just have in conversion, doing floor, seat mounts etc. What did you use for the floor? Ive been thinking of buying a similar project boat 16-18ft to work on while I use my small 14ft v bottom I just fixed up a bit. Would use my trolling motor, motor, seats and electronics off it to put on project boat.
I had a 94 Pro Deep V 17 for 31 years. It needed a makeover and I decided to sell it and get a new PT 175. I'm in my mid 70's and just didn't think I could handle the work by myself. To me, the Pro Deep V is the perfect boat. If they still made them, I would have bought one in a heartbeat.
Reminds me of my late Dad who loved restoring old neglected (Sometimes submerged) boats and fixing them up. He used to say "Son, a boat is something that makes a hole in the water that you throw money into".:fish
