    Default Johnson 140 four stroke

    I took my boat to the shop because it looked like it was leaking gas. Found out it was blowing oil out the exhaust. Anyone ever have this problem and if so what was the cause.

    Don,
    I googled your problem and found this ;
    not sure if this is it wouldn't hurt to check it out !!! I googled Johnson 140 four stroke blowing oil out the exhaust.
    this was what I found;

    The Johnson 140 has a lube oil cooler located under the oil filter. It ended up being the o-rings inside the lube oil cooler. A very easy part to replace but the new lube oil cooler cost about $170.
