First you would need to check and see if they even offer that model in remote from factory. Does your's have shifter in tiller handle? Lot of the older models had outside shifter with holes cast in to hook cable to and then you could get a leaver and connector for throttle. Then just remove tiller handle and hardware. I'm thinking it might be kinda hard on the newer motors with everything built into the tiller handle and expensive to convert.

I'm in the process (or about to start trying) to do the same thing with a 2003 25HP johnson. I am going to try to use a honda contol box that I already have, which is probably a stupid idea, but I'm gonna try. Steering control seems like no prob, but throttle, shift and electrical hookups are gonna be a little hairy since the connections are different & will take some re-engineering. No doubt it can be done, but at what price of money and hours and headaches I'm not sure.
