    Default Carpet question

Well since the "carpet" on my jon boat has decided to begin coming up, my next project is going to be to replace it. It is not plush carpet or anything its very thin and very rough. Would like to put down some pretty decent carpet, but don't want to over do it. Its just a old cat fishing boat. Just going to do the upper deck and the bench at the back. Any suggestions on good carpet at a good price?

Lowes carries some marine grade carpet that holds up pretty well. Best I remember they didn't have many colors to choose from. Also we have a C.C. sponsor that does carpeting. http://www.crappie.com/crappie/showt...LOORS-amp-MORE!

I would go with vinyl or a bed liner, my boat has carpet and I hate it.

I probably should have said this carpet is only going on the deck of the jon boat and the back bench. I bought some nice black carpet from lowes, but the Locktite stuff I bought did not hold it too well to the aluminum. I lost one part of it on the way to the lake this morning. But, its only around $4 to replace it. Got to find something to use to glue it down good this time.

go back to Lowes and ask for outdoor carpet glue and tell them what it's for. I got carpet for my boat there and glue 2 years age and none of it has come up yet.

marine grade carpet and outdoor carpet glue. Or 3M spray adhesive if you don't want to take the time to spread all that glue around. Should be able to find it all at Home Depot or Lowes.
