oil and temp sensors
Where are these 2 items located on a 200 merc. I think 1 of these might be bad. The alarm goes off bout 10 mins are so after running down the lake. Propeller was changed this spring and peeing a strong stream soon as starts. Oil tanks on motor is full and the big tank is getting less. So I believe oil injector is working good and it does smoke. Thinking of changing them out to see if it works. Or any ideas. Thanks

If I remember correctly the temps will be on each head about midpoint on the head....the oil should be on the injector unit. Now I'm thinking on pre EFI engines...may be same on the EFI but do not know. You could try to unhook each individual and test to see if you can pinpoint the trouble sensor.
Its been a while since I've wrenched on an mercury but I think even if you have a good pee stream they can still be getting hot. I think the pee stream is on the back side of the thermostat...meaning they will pee more as the thermostat opens more. If the thermostat is opening slowly (or late) you could be getting a good stream but at that point the engine has gotten hot...then the buzzer sounds. Does it ever shut back off after it comes on?? If you had access to an infared heat gun...some auto parts stores will lend them out or if you know someone in HVAC...have someone shoot the head when the buzzer goes off and track the temp of each bank. See if one is getting hot. Could very well be thermostats if you have not changed them.
