Teleflex has the hydraulic steering system used on most bass boats, Ranger, Triton, Skeeter etc. I have woked on and installed this system, it's a good one

Which ones are the best to chose from? I have a 18 ft deepv 150 optimax the cables are getting stiff the colder it gets thought about updating to hydraulic to cure that problem any thoughts.

DO IT, you won't regret it one bit, I promise. I did mine a couple years ago and the difference is very noticeable, especially in the cold. My system for a 150 requires a 2-cable and the money difference was about $50 and some peace of mind that goes even further. Do some shopping around, the price's are scattered to say the least. I got mine from Fore and Aft marine.

Hydraulic steering is an incredible upgrade. As mentioned Teleflex is one of the best.
Could you make your own Hyd steering from Parts?
I had an old ChrisCraft with mechanical steering. I thought to replace it all with two Rams and a Resivour. I think it's possible.
I just wish I could be better at fishing. Or maybe luckier!:D
