    Default Spring Schackle Bolts ??


    What is the best way to check these bolts ? These have been together for 27 Years need to check em for I go on a long tow.
    When you pull em , Take the wheel off ?? Jack trailer up to take weight off the spring ??? Need some advise Thanks RR

    If I went that far as old as those bolts are I would just replace and not have anything to worry about. To cheap not to.

    Cray told it right. They're cheap to replace and easy.

    If you replce them get the heavy duty ones from Dexter Axle in Elkart In. The shakles are twice as thick with shoulder bolts and grease fittings.
