Cyprus is ideal. I would avoid any treated wood if it's an aluminum boat.

Try these they will outlast you. Not that much more money if you consider buying good wood and carpet.
    Ideal for Boat Lifts !

I just bought a boat off a guy and he used that Tec-Boards (composite material) for decks and he didn't cover it with carpet -DO NOT USE IT-it is super slick when it gets wet and I even had the misfortune the boat sliding off the trailer when backing down the ramp luckly it only damaged my brand new transducer and not the lower unit on the motor.

I have the composite boards on top of PT 4 x 4 s. I don't cut the boat loose until it's in the water so I don't lose it on the ramp . They are slicker than owl snot . If the boat isn't just right after it's out of the water , I can scoot it by hand . And they are cheap at Lowes .
