How Do You Keep Your Livewell Pump and Lines from freezing

I got my boat out last week and had water leaking through a crack of the housing of my livewell pump.

I had to set my boat outside last winter for a few days and there must have been a little water still in the pump and it froze and cracked the pump housing. I always try to drain my livewell by setting the control on "empty" and just letting the water run out. I guess that didn't do the trick. Anybody else ever have this problem?

What do you guys do to prevent this?

I use a shop vac and make sure that all the water is out.
