Any (I prefer name brand) oil rated TCW-3 will work just fine. Quick Silver is good oil.

I sold my boat with a 2007 115 hp Optimax to my buddy last year. I always drove to a dealer about 30 miles away from me to buy the oil. Apparently they bought it in drums and then put it in plain generic gallon jugs to be resold. The last gallon I bought from them was $26. Now my buddy needs some and lives further away from the dealer than I do.
I noticed some 2 cycle QuickSilver oil in gallon containers at Bass Pro. It was $19 and I saw some DFI oil for $25. My question is, what is the recommended oil for the Optimax? Will either of those QuickSilver oils work or is there a special oil that needs to be used?

You must have the DFI oil in it or it will cancel any warranty guarantee. I have been told you can use the premium 2 stroke as well but why take the chance. A gallon is usually $35-42.
my manual says optimax or dfi oil is recommended but you can use any premium TCW3 oil. I use Optimax while it is under warranty $28 a gallon
