    Default what pitch of prop

My brother has a 20ft bass buggy barge with an older model evinrude 60 horse motor. It has a 14 on it right now. at WOT it might be goin 15mph. Is this about right for this application or does he need a higher pitch like a 17 or 18? I am more familiar with glass and aluminum boats but never messed with a barge.. Thanks

It depends if the prop is causing the motor to operate within it's recommended RPMs. If it is then it is the correct pitch; if RPMs are too high he needs more pitch, too low he needs less pitch. Do you know what the RPMs are at wide open throttle?
