need help, on this motor there is a red adjustment screw, where do you set this how many turns from closed out?? I know the slow speed is one an a half . and if you have a service manual that I can down load would be good

Most all Johnson's newer than the 60's have a fixed high speed jet and an idle adjustment needle, which I belive your right on the idle setting but there is not adjustment for Wide Open, if your have problems there I'd say there may be something inside the float bowl. Some of them had a cable that worked the throtle plate but I don't remember that adjustment or setting as I think I have seen 2 of them in my life. If you can't find info on-line , check with a local dealer and look into Seloc or Clymers aftermarket manuels, they cover all models for year groups but they do a good job, I even use them when working on motors that I don't have service manuels for.
