4 stroke ????

Newbie here with a ?. I've got a mariner 98 15 hrsp 4 stroke. I give it full throttle it sounds normal, but only going 1/2 speed as usual. Someone told me might be high speed jet in carb gunked up. If i put seafoam in gas might that clear it up,or pack it in to be serviced. Any ideas ??

Why not give it a try it would be cheaper than having the motor in the shop. If it doesn't work the take it to the shop. Had a 67 Johnson that was the acting the samea way. Ran a can of seafoam in the tank through it, and it opened up the carb.

Try it with a full can of sea foam in 1 gallon of gas. Run it for about 15 minutes and shut it off and let it sit overnight and repeat. until the gallon is gone and run it like ya stole it. If that don't get it, it will need to see the doc.
