    Default 175 Mercury, overheating

Replaced complete waterpump, new diaphram for pressure relief valve. Still only have intermittent stream from tell tale hole. I wonder if the tube from the pump may be cracked or a bad connection at the engine. Can I determine if that may be the cause if I remove lower unit and lower skirt from the engine. Also is there anything complicated about removing the skirt.

Any other ideas would be appreciated.

I read about a screen that may be plugged, is that also under the skirt?

    Thanks
