    Cool 86 Johnson 30 HP Won't idle when hot


    I heave a 86 30 HP Johnson that runs good when cold but , after it heats up, it wants to shut off when idling. The speed is also down when it does this. Any suggestions?

    3 things could be wrong lo speed idling jet stopped up or you have lo comp is the water pump working three simple things that could be wrong good luck, their are 2 good days for a boat the day you buy it and the day sell it

    When it is acting up check for a strong spark at all cylinders. Your power pack could be breaking down after it gets heated up.
