Dead Kill switch??

#1 rule of life if it moves and shouldn't duct tape it!! if it doesn't move and should spray WD40 on it. Glad you found the problem.

Just got out and remembered this thread, but When I am idleing I push the red button which the lanyard is attached but it does nothing........
Do I need to get a new switch, or do some models not do this?

It should kill the motor when pushed. I assume you are using the lanyard to shut the motor off? If that is the case then either something has come loose from the switch or it is bad.

but leaving lanyard in place , i should still be able to push button and it kill engine. Mine wont so im thinking its bad.....

got a repair manual, check continuity and switch was bad. replaced easily and ready to go.......safely...
