Fished Friday evening past dark in a little pond I have been doing well in, fish were active, but small. Caught about 20, biggest was 8" on 1/64 jigs and a few on small bull minnows. They were mixed in with white perch. It was interesting to feel the difference in bites between the crappie and white perch. You could tell what the fish were before you saw them by how the hit the lure and reacted once hooked. Sunday, I had to go up to Carroll County so I stopped and picked up some shiners at Clyde's Sport Shop. By the time I made it up to Liberty to fish it was mid afternoon, walked down to the bank hopping to hit some fallen trees near deep water, friend got a 16" crappie on a trout magnet up there a few days ago. Anyhow, got down to where I wanted to fish and the front comes through blowing and howling right in my face. Couldn't even make a cast. out from the bank. Started raining and figured it was a lost cause with the wind in my face and no way to relocate as I was on foot.
