Started 2016 out with a night trip to an old reliable spot that i fish from shore . This spot never produces until almost dark and tonight it was all the way dark before they started . I was thinking about giving up when I got a yellow perch about 11"then about 4 cast later I got that tell thump that you just know is a crappie and I missed it . That was enough to keep me interested though and sure enough they moved into the night feeding area . I got 21 really nice crappie ,15 were 12" up to just shy of 14" , weighed one with my digital scale at 1lb. 13 oz. Fin-s on a 1/16 oz jighead was the ticket tonight , real slow retrieve and pause .Released all of them tonight , they bit from just after dark until 6:45 or so .Name: 003.jpg
