Its still windy but we made the call to try trot line in a spot that should be protected from the northeast wind on sunday morning and were rewarded with these after 9 runs of the trotline , 8ft in a mid chesapeake creek.Chicken chesapeake for dinner tonite.

Nice looking crabs. I am hoping the wind lays down this Saturday to do a little fishing. It was too windy to even go bow hunting last Saturday for my taste. I may climb a tree this evening for my first sit of of the season if its not raining. With the falling temps the crappie should start biting too.

Yea havent been able to hunt with my son our spot is no good on any easterly wind and thats all we ve had thought about crappie fishing last week but so windy to control jon boat . I knew I could crab with my stern into wind at that spot and pretty much drift down trotline in neutral.
