A friend and I met on Sat. May 16 and headed towards Salibury and beyond in search for spawning crappies and maybe a snakehead. We saw a lot of floating green algae and clear waters instead. We caught a few crappies, a pickeral, a couple bluegill, a red ear bluegill, a few LMB and maybe saw a snakehead. It was overall a pretty slow day for catching but it was nice being outside enjoying the weather. This may be my last crappie foray until it cools in the fall. This weekend I am going to try the flounder on the eastern shore of VA.
