Today was beautiful on the river, it was windy from the south but nice and warm. Water was solidly in the low 60s and the males were up shallow but the females were spread from shallow to deep. Had my best fishing out in the main river along the channel edges drifting fin-s in smelt color. Had about 25 fish total but only kept 8. Let at least 10 big females, fat with eggs back in the water. That was tough to do since they were easily the biggest fsh I have caught all year, lol.
